Value Of My Car

Hello all,

I'm curious to know what my car might be worth in today's market. It's a 1978 Golf L 1093cc 5 door. I see lots of GTIs about but not too many of these in original condition. The insurance I have has an agreed value of £3500. Do you think that's about right or should I get it increased?

That looks to be a stunning car. Difficult to value based on limited info, but I'd say you're pretty close at £3500-£4000.

Be great to see some more pictures of it, when you say it's original, do you mean still has it's original paint as well?  I know people are payingbstrong money to bring in low mileage LHD cars from Europe at moment as good U.K. cars are becoming hard to come by so depending on condition could be worth more.
