Im planning on getting some parts powder coated, like rear beam, roll bar brake backing plates wishbones and so on, now ive never had any done before, do you get the parts shot blasted or sand blasted? Im in Dudley, west midlands if anyone has any recommendations on where to go for this service.

Most places do it as a one stop service.

You drop in your manky stuff and pick up shiny stuff.

Question on powder coating preparation

The place I use in Birmingham City centre acid dips and blasts them before coating. Rear beam cost me £75.

main thing is to be extra clear which parts you do NOT want coated. things like bearing/bush/seal/gasket surfaces, hub faces etc.
