Mk1 GTi LYU 726X

As some folk might have seen, I'm looking to buy a mk1 GTi & have a wanted ad in the classifieds section. Obviously I am looking in all the usual places and found this one for sale. LYU 726X, a black 1600cc GTi in what looks like really nice condition, although it is pricey. Is this car known to anyone on here at all? I'd like to know more about it's history if I can find any info.
