Ebay GTi WfF

It was on a few weeks ago and definite scam as i was gonna buy it for 5k. Seller in Italy and car in Inverness scenario. Got hold of an old owner and decided no.

This has been floating round for a while, not sure what the angle is as surely no ones going to send a deposit to secure the car....

Bloke I work with lost a few thousand £ on an old British motorbike.

Too good to be true deal, sellers brother/mate elsewhere in country was going to deliver it as he travelled for work and was it right part of country soon.

He paid via some sort of bankers direct payment outside ebay/paypal. Plod didn't want to know a he voluntarily paid money over etc etc

I see from the screen shot it is a different ebay account to the one I looked at a couple of weeks ago. The care was seen travelling south on the m6 about 4 Weeks according to the club face book account.

Can't see why you would want to bid on a car without viewing it first anyway. Maybe its a bot that is hacking ebay and its getting automatically relisted. There's a face book page called ebay scam alerts thats ran by people that trawl for scams and get them removed. They seem to clear 100's from scooters to diggers. I think you've got to be really gullible or stupid or both to fall for one in this day and age.
