How about saving £3000 and getting a supercharged 5.0 V8 with less miles than the Golf… I recon they will be future classics…

Or save a hell of a lot more and buy an XK8, 4.0 non supercharged ones can be had for less than 2500 or 8k for a good xkr

My brothers got a 2001 Jaguar XKR as a weekend toy, lovely car to drive and be inside, it's rather rapid when you wish to burn lots of petrol

All i can say is INSANE A fool and his monies are soon parted. but lets be careful as the new purchaser will soon join the forum and ask how can he do a 2.0l swap.

Yeah, if i had the money, should be a nice rust free shell, good starting point for modifications.. wheels / engine /box would go in the scrap pile, just use the shell and interior.

Mine would have cost 45K in total to buy and to restore if I'd paid some one for the 800 hours labour it took so is it so unrealistic? GLWTS I say.

If its genuinely sold it was on for less than a week so you could assume close to asking?

If I'm correct, this turned up at one of the early Gaydon annual meets on a trailer. People were saying it wasn't fair for it to go in the concourse and it should have been driven there. Given its current value it seems the owner had the last laugh!

I was visiting my Brother, and they had the anual Autoshow/homecoming…. A guy with a trailer queen drove a 68 Camaro for about 400 miles and entered it in the contest… He was up for the furthest driven, Even though it was on a Trailer and not really driven…..
OPPS he made a mistake….
I entered my 2003 POS Oldsmobile Van,,,I did take and get it washed…. .
He Didn't win, I did as I actually drove it 600 miles and for the 10 dollar entry fee I got the furthest Driven, they have amended the Rules now that it has to be driven and not trailered…
Best 10 dollar trophy I ever have gotten, and to make matters worse my Brother had to announce me as the winner and hand me the Trophy.
Afterwards my brothers friends said, that will show him…he had won first place one year and furthest driven trailered for the last 6…. GEE, a POS van is a Trophy Winner…..
