A big "Thank You"…

The realities of life with a young family have however finally caught up with me, and the MK1 has gone to a new, carefully selected, VW enthusiast home.

I would like to thank the club for the friendship and support recieved over the last 3 years whilst I've had the privilege of being a MK1 owner.

Happy safe motoring everyone

I know what that is like, luckily I had garage space to store mine away until the children were older.

See you back in ten years time!

I do have garage space…But that's full of car! The MK1 was a daily driver and compromise was needed…

Well I had the rare pleasure to have my Rabbit Diesel as my Primary Car…. My wife and I and 3 Daughters took trips all over the US in it.  When number 4 came along, we bought a Bigger Car, but I still drove the Diesel now to work….

My one Daughter loved laying on the parcel shelf looking at the sky, and the traffic behind us.  (Yes, it was the 80's, and there were 3 seat belts in the back…) but I suspect it is also because when it was a work car I had the windows Tinted black… It kept prying eyes out of the rear… and the sun off the kids in the car seats…..

Was it politically correct to drive that way, no, but the girls enjoyed it.

Sadly I sold it when the Oldest was 20…. and the girls didn't like driving it, and because of a stroke I couldn't trust myself pulling out from a stop on a hill..but I do love the smell of Diesel in the Morning.

Good luck, and happy times ahead….

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?
