So I will have about 1500 to spend on the golf next month.
Plan
Lowering kit. Thinking AP unless someone knows better (removing coil overs)
Get new bolts for where the front struts meet the hub. - help on where to get these for less the £100 for a complete set would be nice. Was expecting to pay no more than about £30. Grrrr.
New st/st exhaust and have my 4 branch finally fitted. 2 1/4 inch. Any recommendations?
Return the engine as new exhaust fitted
New rad maybe.
Some bits for my rear disc conversion.
Maybe a new head unit if some pennies left over.
I will fit suspension myself just hoping I can get the rest done for the money.
Already have new front and rear top mounts ready to fit so don’t need to buy them.
Any thoughts peeps.

New camber bolts, under £20 a side… showing out of stock so might be worth dropping an email.
If club member you should be able to get discounts as well…

I've got the AP shocks and springs 60 / 30 kit on mine and cant fault it.
I sheared a camber bolt and believe it was about 6 quid on ebay somewhere
Exhaust wise, what ever comes up on ebay second hand but if the engine is standard I'd stick to a 2" system personally

Thanks all. I was thinking 40/30 ap. but need to look at it. Will message crazy.
Also need to get some fully smoked rear lights. There out of stock everywhere also.
Engine is standard for now. My go for a a cam, inlet upgrade and throttle body upgrade just to give it a little.
Looking forward to 15th of April (pay day) so I can order it all and get it fitted for summer

Part set one secured. Fully smoked rear light clusters. And I have not hit pay day yet
.
Next will be the ap lowering kit and camber bolt sets.
If still available I have a mk2 servo and ms set to get.
Once lowering kit fitted it will be exhaust and engine tune.
Then it is MOT time. Should be good here
Rad will have shown it’s true colours by then whether it is leaking or just a weeping hose.
Some new sliders for the front seats. Bit worn on the drivers side.
Finally. Lots of update pictures as I get things done. Started to get excited again for the old girl.

If fitting a lowering kit don't forget shorter bump stops as they are often forgot about and when the car is lower it may ride on them, rubber blocks are not the best shock absorber.

So my parts shopping was a bonus yesterday. Went to collect the rear lights and they are mint so happy.
Also brought a spare inlet manifold for £10 from another person. Got there and he had a few bits and bobs. Got a new looking alternator and 5 injection lines 25 the lot.
Happy shopper by day all round.
