P slot pirelli wheel scam...... watch out

I saw an ad on the net for a set of A code pirelli p alloys

Polished up and look fab, £800 + new pirelli tyres

I thought a bit steep but my long search was over

I drove from Sheffield to Bradford to view them but the p on the wheels did not look 100% right. The left side of the p had a slight weird angle and looking very closely at them I asked a few questions and he admitted eventually the wheels had been machined to make the p bigger and the last A on the part number ground out. I said they were not what I was looking for and left. Could easily see how some people would be conned by this but my dad is and engineer for Sheffield supertrams. So I did learn something, thanx pa

Knew what they were doing and only one word to describe them and it rhymes with banker. However if offered as a genuine service to people to have their p slots modified to replica originals would probably get some business and make some money providing it is a safe thing to do and don't fake on the A code. Still a dick though.

If it's clearly stated or someone wants to modify a set of mk2 alloys fair enough.

Sneakily passing them off as genuine article annoys me.

We all love our mk1's and only want what's best for them, which they deserve after all 30-40 servitude without breaking a sweat.

Let's see any car from mid 90s onwards achieve such a feat.

Proper spot 👍 I got done with some bbs alloys one was  clued 😢😫 😲. Now I stick to vw owners clubs to buy stuff.
