Not again! Now known as 'Not again for the 8th time', damage to my Mk1 & Mk6!

Just watched a stupid bl__dy Woman reverse into mine whilst mine was parked!  
I happened to be outside having a smoke and witnessed her do it.

Scuffed a SH_T load of paint off the drivers corner of the front bumper!  
She caught it perfect to maximize just removing the paint.  
The bumper will have to be painted again for the second time in a year!  

Since the last person, rhymes with 'Trucking Tanker' reversed into me while once again the car was stationary and I sat in it!      
Not I had no chance to back up.
Last time there was more damage and cost over a grand at VW but it also cost me two half days at work by the time I got it back!
Because the VW Dealer painter paints worse than Stevie Wonder. His work had more runs than the Austrian Alps!  
I told the 'Trucking Tanker' painter that I was doing a better job than him when I was 15 (he didn't enjoy that in front of his Boss) and yes I have lots of photos to back it up, his and my work.
So not using that (VW Main Dealer) again.  

Back to my point!
It's $ucking white for God sake with a red top, how more bleeding obvious can it be!
Before anyone says that she was stunned by it's looks or whatever, she was claiming she didn't even know she had hit it.
I saw the car bounce on the handbrake, so did two Security Guards and a Policeman.       

It's a Holiday here tomorrow and I've taken Friday off, had a lot of plans to work on the paintwork and engine bay over the next few days (can't Sunday as it's Mother Day here).  

And now it's got to go to the paint shop, so paint dust, pizz poor work etc… and the whole sh_t starts again!  

Had a gut full, so going home to get wasted.

Well it's morning now and I'm not feeling any better after a nights sleep!

As for a painter, surely there can't be any worse, can there?

Yeah I have her details as she couldn't realistically drive away with two armed Guards and an armed Policeman standing there looking at her!  

Her Husband came later and was really sorry about it and said that his insurance will pay in full etc…

But of course that doesn't cover the time I will loose at work sorting this Cr^p out, again!

Ah Mike awful luck mate. I feel for you buddy. Hope you can get it back to what it was soon. Make sure she pays for it mate and get it done properly.

The problem is, it's much harder to get good work done over here for such things like Mk1's.

This one of the few times I wished I was back home.  

The paint job is nothing (if I had access to the right kit I'd do it myself in half a day, start to finish because I've not done a job like that for a very long time).

But the bullsh*t Bureaucracy one has to deal with here and at the end of it all you walk away with cr^p work, cr^p service and feeling totally screwed!

It's a bit like the feeling most Brits have since we joined the E.U!

So I think it's time to get off my soapbox and go for a drive. It's could hit a high of 28 degrees here this afternoon!

Now you can understand why we have one of, if not the lowest crime rates in the world.  
It's a sort of 'Shoot first and … (no need to bother with the questions after) type of approach!  

But just to clarify, I work at a place that requires that kind of level of Security.

I work for a Government, who's I'm not telling!
I'm a 'Computer Systems Administrator' for a very large Network, Hardware and User Base.
Maybe the largest in the World but enough said

UPDATE to this and your not going to believe it!  
Had to take two hours off work to take it to the main VW dealer so the insurance assessor can do what ever it is they do. They agreed to completely paint the bumper.

So a week later I have to leave home an hour early to drop the car off.
Three days later (today) I get a call to pick the car up, as they are only open to five I had to take another two hours off work (all holiday time).  

Paint job doesn't look bad but they are charging 900 Euros for that but then they found out that the metal bumper behind the cover was also bent so they are charging an extra 500 for that repair. So the insurance company will get a bill for 1,400 Euros + tax for just painting a 3" square scratch. Works for me!     

Now having checked the job it was in for I drive home. (here's where the fun begins)
I get out the car and happened to tilt the driver seat to get something off the back seat.
Something caught my eye in the rear foot well. What was it I hear you ask?
That one footwell is FULL of water!            no joke.
When I say full of water the over carpet (over mat) is floating in it, I'd say around 5 Liters if not more.
So just spoke to the Dealer before they closed and of course they said it's just not possible…..
Saying things like we've had a lot of rain here (like tell me about it) turn on the News for God sake!
Adding, well your roof must leak and it has been stood outside etc…

To which I replied, listen you 'Trucking Tanker' my roof does not leak and before you open your mouth it's not yet three years old and was fitted by the best Soft-Top Company in Austria.  
Then the penny dropped.  

I realized that the car had been washed although it's still raining slightly here, so I asked him.
"Don't suppose you put my car through the car wash did you?"
"Oh yes Sir" came the reply."    

He did apologize when I pointed out to him the error of their ways!
 
Got to leave home again tomorrow an hour early.
He thinks he can get it dry within two hours, well I've got F$cking news for him. He suggests putting the oven at 60 degree's.
The carpet has to come out to start with and …………. and …………
Not having the whole car being cooked like Yorkshire Pudding!!!

This is just beyond belief.     

Oooppssss…..sounds like your having a lot of unwanted fun !!  
Good luck with the carpet, just make sure you're wearing lace ups when you kick the dealer up the jacksie, you wouldn't want to lose as shoe as well !!
