Reminds me of reading in a magazine, back when the mk2 escort was being introduced someone complaining that it looked like a restyled opel kadet. Why that's remained in my mind I don't know.

I had a mk1 rs2000 in white with blue and semi preped about 15 years ago and had to sell it as i was flat broke. Sold it for 10k as I remember and never saw a penny as I was so in debt. At least I owned one once. To be fair it would not go in a straight line as the limited slip diff would make it spin in circles with a slightest attempt to put real power down. Great great fun though, surprise I never go banned looking back.  So I guess I didn't sell my soul but put a large deposit against it at the time.

I'm not a Ford person really and I'm also a purist so cars that heavily modded don't really do it for me but I can see the attraction with it!
