mk1 golf specialist Kent/East Sussex

Hi all, inhertied Mk1 clipper cab from family.

i'm looking for someone in the local area to dicuss modifications with, mainly brakes, suspension, engine perhaps (needs a tidy up)
what are the common suspension/brake/engine upgrades.

Drove the golf the other day, and brakes and suspension were in need of some work. Its had a new hood though so that's good

Which compaines/garages in the area are good to use, as I probably will get someone to fit the parts for me.

I'm based not far from Hythe in Kent, but I spend a lot of time over near Rye/Hastings area.
