The strut housing look to be in good condition, are you keeping / re using them for a new set up as the front front shocks are just a insert?
Clean, sand and re paint they will look like new.

I'm doing a full refurb of the suspension and am replacing the whole lot, so these will end up on the spares shelf.

Don't think there is any difference in ride height of the cabriolets, they have different springs to tin tops as they are heavier but I guess most have had the shocks and springs changed at some point in there life as the newest cabriolet will be 30 years old.
I think the GTI cabbies are also 40mm lower than non-GTIs - anyone that can confirm?

All for a whopping extra 25% cost.
A MK2 16v was the same or cheaper £

I've been looking at the JOM Blue Line Coilover Kit. Does anyone know if these are any good?
