Post

Does anyone know where I can get the expanding plastic fixings that hold the knee bar in place ?

Thanks Mick.

89 Cabby?  a picture would be nice, as are you talking about the cover over the knee bar, or the whole thing.

My Knee bar cover was held in by speed nuts and Phillp's screws….

The whole knee-bar is held on by 4 nuts and 4 bolts 13mm 2 of each each side of the "a" pillar….

Apologies, its the knee bar cover, the plastic expanding plugs that attach it to the actual knee bar. WP_20170505_13_22_15_Pro.jpg WP_20170505_13_23_39_Pro.jpg

the pn in the ETKA is 161867299 01C for those.  As I stated mine were replaced using speed nuts and Phillips screws.

Over here you can get those types of pins at "help" sections of most Good parts stores.  I have even used the Tree Push fasteners on some.

No probs,
I spoke to Howard there yesterday as I needed some bits myself.
One of those blokes who goes out of his way to help you.
He got me some clips that were NLA from the dealers for a few years and still supplies me today. Saved my bacon a time or 2.

I found being upside down in the passenger seat helped get those clips back in to the underside of the Knee bar cover.
