Ideas for Helping each other with mk1 members projects ?

Just a thought , ( would it work ?) . As a mk1 golf owner sometimes it would be great to have a spare pair of hands / knowledge when working on the mk1 !  All based on trust / banter , tea, coffee, beers , etc (lol) . I'm sure it already goes on through mates known over years etc ,but wondered if a section on the forum offering each other's skills in local areas /  uk regions would work ? I must say that the mk1 forum its self is legendary ?👍

Well I suspect if some one floats a air plane ticket :)

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

A lot of folks do this already.
To build these bonds though it’d be nice for local regional hosts to get meetings going.
That way you know the guys and girls around you and strike up a rapport.
I found that once these meets are ongoing you do get the chance to talk about projects and issues, then  at times folks will offer advice or help.
You strike up good friendships too.
It’s about learning skills and being able to give back as well as take.
I’d add there’s a lot of good how to posts on here which are well worth using.
There’s also the google search box on the site.
Usually in the left hand pane.
Using that facility gives you accesses  to loads of information to learn from. It’s about taking the time to look through posts though.

Yup we do this type of thing.

Doesn't have to be just golfs though! Me mate is currently doing a Merc V8 into a 69 Daimler

Oh the fun we have    You get to bust your knuckles on all types of different metal and trap fingers in big engines instead

As Chortle says the key is meets to actually meet some people to gain these support groups (lets face it, it's both a disease and an addiction)
