HELP TRYING TO FIND MY OLD MK1 TIN TOP

Has anybody seen my old mk1 reg number CEG 206Y sold it back in 2012 to somebody in Loughborough it's currently SORN any help would be appreciated 

I'm guessing you didn't get anywhere with this which is a shame. I often wonder where my 'y' plate lhasa green one went to after I sold it. At least you have the reg number so that should've helped, I lost all photos and can't recall the rest of the reg. Guess I'll never know. I'm sure you must be able to trace it somehow. Good luck.

Take it was a non runner when sold, MOT Expired: 20 October 2007 however its still shown Sorn so may be looking good, as the new owner would have re apply for Sorn

Yeh it was a project + my first ever car. I was too impatient and ended up selling it to buy a mk3 golf… biggest mistake of my life tbh.

Know that feeling.  My Rover 3500S my third car, and I still miss it to this day.

Something odd about the mileage though. so may not be for whatever reason.

Govt. site however shows its just been taxed for a year to April 2021 and the MOT expires October this year (which would tie in with a 6 month extension to the last April 2019 MOT issue date.)

Last tax book change was 2014. 






 

I always have a look now and again to see if it ever got restored on DVLA checker and that's what I found someone has put in on the road. I'd just like to get in touch with the owner and be given first refusal of they ever wanted to sell.

I know it sounds daft as it was a long time ago but do you remember where about a in Loughborough the purchaser was? Also what colour is it? 

I dont. It was a father and son who bought it as a project to restore as I only got half way through. It only needed the mechanics doing as most of the bodywork was prepped for paint. I sold it as Matt black but I did give them the purple pearlescent paint to finish the job off. They have recently put it back in the road and I wasn't sure if they had used this site to source parts or advice etc.
