Is where I am

I've manage to scratch the dashboard of managements New Beetle cabby by carrying some wood (well I wasn't going to use the golf now was I?) and I was wondering if anyone had any tips or recommend a product to fix please?

Get a replacement from a breaker and hope its a easy to unclip and reclip back on

1987 Alpine White 1.8 Clipper Cabriolet

The trouble with doing nothing is that you never know when you are finished.

ETA, I believe the technique to fix this is to heat up the plastic to almost melting, then possibly add a tiny amount more, then use a die with the correct texture to blend in the repair area by pressing down very carefully. Needs a lot of practice and skill to do an invisible repair.

Get some carbon fibre vinyl and do a cosmetic upgrade. Do a couple of other vents and maybe door hand pull surround. Boom. Not just fixed but improved.

Or foxtrot Oscar until it dies down a little.

Good luck

You could use a spot filler and fill the scratches then paint it with a color and sheen to match (if you mask off good you can do it in the car)…But . always used a padding or towel to protect things. specifically @ the dash or seat fabrics.

I originally thought the thread was in reference to the two Wings and Hood and not the proverbial move over rover the big dog is coming in… Or if it wasn't for a Dog House I wouldn't have a home at all. :)

Yeah it's a bit like if it wasn't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all.  I'm gonna give local VW specialist a bell in the morning and see  how bad to replace and then go for a repair… could certainly fine fill but colour match might be a bit more of a challenge.

Thanks for all advice!.

I always thought that spot would look nice turned into a road with appropriate scale model VWs going either way. You could pretend it was oil leakage.
