Confession of a Certified Redneck.

Post

I am a red neck, not that I am a hick and think my Dog, Truck, Beer and pretty women are to ogled.

Yes, I feel free to finally admit it.
I drive a Cabriolet Topless, and the back of my neck is red/tan/sunburned.
but then again so are my arms (Farmers Tan over here), and the tops of my knees.

I am proud of it, I love it.

How many other red neckers are there out in the world. An inquiring mind wants to know.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

Confession of a Certified Redneck.

Hey Briano1234 hope you’re good bud..

I’m no redneck, honky, hairdresser - as some  bias Marmite marvel Tintoppers like to say (a cabby is not a Mk1 Golf Doh) whatever names are out there lol but I love my cabby too.. it’s in the mid to late 20’s here in parts of the UK recently & is continuing for a lil while.. so they can keep they’re windows down & sweat while we flip the top, windows up with a wide smile!! They can be driven come rain or shine so what’s the difference? I prefer to keep mine for dry weather but that’s personal choice. I enjoy it, so anyone else’s thoughts & opinions are theirs. Jog on.

Yup indeedy I'd class myself as a Red Neck.

As I work Construction I also have the Farmers Tan (my wife laughs at my white bits    )

I also enjoy both types of music; country And western (to quote the 'Blues Brothers' )

I do prefer the tin top to the cabbie though as I find it strangely odd not to have a roof above my head  O_o

Not that I would ever say a cabbie ain't a 'proper' mk1. I also like Caddys and Jettas too and also class them as mk1's. (Oooohhhh controversial!)

I also live in the Deep South (Cornwall 10miles from Lands End - you don't get much more Southern than that!)

I may be getting Red Neck, Southern and Country all mixed up, but hey, I'm British! Hopefully no offence is caused to our American Cousins  ;)

I've been driving mine roof down which I actually quite enjoy but mainly because I dont find it very comfortable to drive with the roof up because of my size and I only ever drive it in perfect weather anyway.

I always try to play age appropriate music to the car which at the moment happens to be the best of the police

If i'm not in a suit for work I'm in boardies and a hoodie.
My wife's properly Posh But Mucky, she's the middle child and we're the proper black sheep of the family.  She's also very clearly the favourite as our field of Fecks is utterly barren.
We had a lovely wedding and the first dance was Roll On by Kid Rock.
Our outwardly "respectable" lives simply cannot cover the bin-fire life we lead.

Never been happier.

funny how we are all different but love our mark 1s .I know what briano means and only take golfus out if the weather is good–im too tall for it to be a lot of fun roof up. as for music–soz to be a dinosaur but ive gotta have a bit of Mahler or shosta on the stereo.
have fun in the sun and the very best for the agm. ill be in roma but wish I were there
