Hi folks
As title really - is anyone running 16 or 17 wheels on a clipper bodied cabrio - mildly lowered .
Any pictures would be appreciated - maybe offsets and tyre sizes if you know them .
Looking to run about 30mm lower and want wheels to look right and not too big .
I'm also fat and old so don't want to destroy ride quality

With that wheel size you will, anything over 15 will.

My cabby had wide 16's on it when i got it, never driven it a mile and sold them immediately
15's are the only thing that actually work on a Mk1 imo
I will be putting some 7.5 or 8 x 15 or a staggered set up of the 2 on it when it's done, oh and a sump guard

Her is mine running 15 and in two duffest suspension states.
Coil overs and very low - was fun but horrible ride all at the same time.
And second hand lowering spring about 30mm
Don’t look as cool IMO but ride is much nicer and I am more keen to drive it now.
Front has settled a little better now also.
