A bit about the car…
1983, Y plate, Lhasa green, series 2 GTI 1.8.
The car has covered approximately 180,000. I say approximately as the milage counter stopped working on 176,000 and I have kept track of the milage since.
The engine is excellent, it has had a full re-build in Jan '07 - has also had new pistons fitted since.
Running gear is very smooth and quiet, all 4 bearings were replaced in April this year, along with the ball joints and drive shaft. The gearbox is excellent, all gears can be found easily and have never had any problems during ownership.
Interior is very clean and tidy. I will post up some pictures of the interior when I have the time to take some - it will probably be Saturday morning earliest I can get.
Taxed until 31/10/07
MOT until October 2007 (i will get specific date)
Other restored parts include:
- Starter Motor
- Alternator
- Fuel Pump
- Fuel Accumulator
- Exhaust down pipe
- Wiper Arms and Spindle
- Bonnet
- Front Bumper
If you want the wheels with the car you can have them, If not ill stick the original 9-bar alloys back on. Ronals include a spare. Tyres were replaced in Feb this year during that time the tracking and wheel balancing was done aswell.
Suspension is FK Highsport adjustable Coilovers.
I also have various parts I have purchased but havnt had the time to fit onto the car such as throttle body, WUR, distributor, arch repair panels.
- ?2500 - Looking to sell as soon as possible
