What tint windscreen?

Hi. Hopefully someone can help….

My mk1 gti is in garge being brought back to life. It needs a new windscreen and the garage say it looks like a bronze tint but they aren't readily available.

It's an 83 gti - I'm not certain it's a Campaign as its got the right chassis number but not twin grill or p slots.

Any views please?

grills and p slots do not make a campaign :)
and it really depends on your own idea about chassis numbers.EW or DW………………….you decide
If the rest of the car is fitted with bronze glass then you may want to put out a request for a bronze windscreen,but if she was a campaign model car it would have had green tint from birth. Its relatively easy to change the glass so I wouldnt be surprised if its been changed, if I had one I would offer it to you but I dont im afraid :(

Do it once and do it right! ok, we've identified the problem, lets not make it worse by guessing……… Identifying the sympton is not the same as understanding the cause :)

look at the door glass dude, see if its clear, brown or green that'll tell you what screen you need ;)
