Door Hinge Replacement

Hi,

I've got a cabriolet and there is play in the bottom hinges on both doors - I expect its probably a common problem.  It looks as though the play is in the centre section of the hinge itself, which is the part that bolt to the car itself.

They look similar to a Mk2 hinge and I tried to get one from a scrap car, but could drive out the hinge pin even with the door removed, so gave up.

Has anyone any advice on repacing the door hinges?

I did this recently on my Mark 2 and I got a new hinge in GSF for about ?6. I took the door off and hammered at the pin for ages and even used some heat to no avail. I ended up taking the whole door to the local panel beater who drove the old pin out for some beer money.

The pins are a Gareth Hunt to takeout.
