Cleaning off old waxoyl / oil / grime

I'm currently playing / restoring my MK1 Campaign and 320CE Merc. I've found that paint thinners is really effective at cleaning up oily / waxy area's. it seems better than GUNK etc. is there a problem using it?

yeh its REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY bad for u, wear a mask.

I found that using the mig welder inside the car, sets the waxoyl underneath on fire, simple just blow out the flames and remove the burnt underseal with a scraper

the stuff will eat all ya rubbers so be carefull were ya putting it!!

Thinners can and will eat paint and rubber parts

Use White spirit and you will have no problems

A wire brush on a drill or angle grinder may also come in handy for the stickier parts..
