Hi I have a mk1 caddy with k-jet engine and had it all running fine I wanted to relocate the fuel pump to the back as previously  it was in the engine bay and changed the fuel tank and have it running through a relay which previously is wasn't, I've done all that and changed the fuel line and put all new connectors banjos etc etc and now I can't get it to fire up there is spark and the fuel pump is coming on when it should and there is fuel getting to the metering head and there's power to the cold start etc, the timing was done previously so I'm not sure that is the issue could be? I can here the relay clicking and the pump is working any ideas ?? Muchly appreciates in advance

Please help

Verify that your timing is spot on.
www.cabby-info.com has great pictures of the timing marks, don't guess KNOW.

Cars are like sex.
Fuel
Spark
Air
All in the right time.

I had a "Cam Gear Shear" actually the crank bolt was stripped and backed out.  Drove me batship crazy finding it. One minute timing was spot on, and the car idled fine, next minute give it gas, and sputters flops drops and timing was way off, let off the gas and it would be back in time.

Thanks timing was done again and it did start however I've got one branch of my manifold that after it running is going bright orange just one of the branches?
The temperature gauge is not getting hot just staying around halfway it is still taking a while too start also I've checked the cold start valve and that seems to be working, any ideas does smell rich also so was thinking maybe the mixture ? But the glowing manifold branch is a concern
Thanks  guys

Sound like one cylinder is running hotter…

Which branch, and is it in the Center, and which type of manifold, 4 to 1 or 4 to 1.

It's the third from left if you were looking at the engine from outside of from of car, and it's an 4-2 manifold I believe,
Literally was like glowing red!
Thank again
