intermittently engine oil LED and temp gauge LED

Post

On the new car I have the engine oil LED blinking. I notice that it seems to stop at idle and when I rev the engine it will come on. The oil pressure gauge shows normal readings.
I changed the engine oil. and the PO changed the oil pressure sender at the oil filter. There is a second smaller sensor installed at the oil filter neck and I am not sure anymore what that guy does.
But anyhow, I also have intermittently the temp gauge LED. It sometimes blinks and at times flickers and most of the time is off. That makes me think that there could be a wiring issue in the loom that goes to the oil sender unit and the temp sender.
or I could be wrong. any Ideas?

The oil pressure switches are:
White on the oil filter flange (low-pressure high rpm).
Black, oil temp sender for lower console gauge.

Can on the side of the head is the low pressure sender, and the oil pressure sender (for gauge in the lower console).

Since you didn't say the buzzer is buzzing then I would suspect the Can switch (side of the head).

I would also suggest that you look in the archives for improving your cluster grounds Archive how-tos briano1234 list of things on a 90ish cabby.

And if you haven't replaced your battery to frame and frame to engine ground wires that should be top on your list.

They all start with GOOD Grounds.
