First oil change after re-build

Hi there,

My Mk1 Gti has just done 1000 miles from a recent rebuild. I was wondering what oil would be best. Its a turbo technics 8v. New Turbo/Engine. Not sure if it would be any different from doing a normal oil change. Thanks you

Hi Panth,
Just use a top quality synthetic oil i guess.
Don't forget that with a turbo after an oil or filter change you need to turn the engine over-without it starting! to get oil pressure to the turbo bearings, disable dizzy?- until oil light goes out, then start.
p.s I think I met you at a show this year, (I had the orange driver 1.3) and I loved your Turbo Technics car!!
