Brands available ?

Hi all
Need an oil pump for a 9A 2.0 16v rebuild (OE part number 051115105A), want the best quality I can find but unsure of which (if any) brands to avoid, managed to find a Kolbenschmidt, a Meyle and a Topran, been reading good and bad things about all so a little confused, had a search here but couldn't find anything regarding oil pump brands, any help appreciated.
Thanks
Si

When I redid my oil pumps on my 1.8 digis, I went with the 36mm gears out of the 2.0 L engines, it have a greater oil flow and a higher oil pressure.  I do believe that they were Meyle, and haven't had any issues with them.

On the earlier models you have to use longer bolts to bolt them on from what I hear and I found that the 1.8 36mm pick up tube prevented the oil pan from seating.  So I changed the pickup tube back over to the older 32mm geared pumps.  Quick easy, and better life to a engine IMHO.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

Cheers for the reply, bit subjective I guess when you ask "which one's best", just wondered if anyone knew anything to avoid concerning build quality, used Meyle parts a lot but not their oil pumps.
