Abf engine fast loosing oil pressure

Stars fine with lots of pressure but as I set off driving it looses the pressure over about a mile or so and oil light comes on sold and then starts flashing then buzzer sounds. Also it just slowly drops and pressure does not respond to revs. Had suggested that the strainer on oil pump could be blocked and could be as easy as dropping the oil and giving it a clean, any suggestions please.
It's all shits and giggles until someone giggles and shits
