I have also replaced the waxstat as one of the pipes had broken.
Whilst removing one of the hoses I caught the wiring plug that goes to the side of the distributor cap and pulled two of the wires out.
I am not sure if I put them back the correct way around but now the car won't start and I have tried the wires both ways around.
No 2 on the plug stayed in in the centre but the brown and the red wires both came out.
Could anyone tell we which way round these go and if it could have blown a fuse or something?
Or could the new waxstat be stopping the car from starting?
Thanks
Luke

I had one break loose on my car. Shorted the hall sender out to the Frame. If that plastic part wiggles at all, then you could be grounding out the hall signal to the Frame.
I ended up replacing the Distributor, and the ICM module.
What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?
They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Sorry it's a 1991, would reversing the wires damage the distributor? And do you know oanywhere I could purchase a 3 point multi plug?
Thanks

I think I have made out the correct order of the wires from an engine bay picture, il test with a multimeter later on across the outer pins.

Thanks Briano, so I could possibly have to change the dizzy and the ICM module? Is the ICM module the 7 pin plug mounted in the bulkhead?
Thanks
