Weber Woes

Ok, splashed out on a brand new Weber for the cabby the other day but still having some issues.

It starts and idles quite nicely but when I give it the full beans it coughs splutters and stalls.  Restarts fine and drives nicely and low/normal cruising speeds.  Now I don't know a lot about webers or carbs in general but after doing a bit of research think my problem is to do with the secondary jet/circuit.

Looking into the carb with the air filter removed, I can see a squirt of fuel in the front barrel/venturi when i pull on the throttle but there is no fuel seen in the rear barrel, even at full throttle.

Is this a sign of a blockage?

Any help much appreciated, thanks.

i'd check for the a blockage, clean out the lines and put new filters in.

then blow the carb out with an airline just to move any dirt

also is it the right carb for the car as the 1.6 and the 1.8 look the same but have different jets :)
