Idle speed correct?

I'm running twin 45 DOCE on my 1.8 16v and it seems to idle at 1500rpm after warming up a little, it also seems to get a little hot if sat at idle too long I'm thinking this is down to the high idle speed. Anyone else with the same or similar set up that can tell me there idle?
