Engine pics please

Please can someone post a picture of a cabby 1990 clipper engine. I have what looks like a pipe missing on the left hand side as you look at it. It looks like it goes from the air intake pipe before the filter to the back. I would post a picture but having problems with my phone. If some can i may be able to spot it from there.

Thanks Neil

sounds like the air intake temperature vacuum hose. it plugs onto the rear of the carb. it's a pain to see.

yeah they should be joined mate, from the platic bit pictured (very nicely too) to the metal bit on the exhaust manifold, its a piece of flexi pipe (about 2 inch thick), its for when your engine is starting/running cold, not much use though as the valve in the air intake sticks with age.  the pipe also disintegrates when you take them off/put them back on.  not sure if you can get them from VAG, try and find a 1.6/1.8 driver/gl mk2 breaking and steal it from that, its the same bit

Hi,

as tomo320 says plastic to exhust manifold, have pictured with fuel filter moved to get a clear shot below. Think you can buy the metal hose from German Swedish French and then just cut to length.
