1.6 EW engine parts to fit 1.5 JB engine

Hi,

Does anyone know if the ignition coil and distributor from a 1.6 EW engine will fit and be suitable for a 1.5 JB engine

they will fit and the ignition curve will probably be close enough as they're pretty similar power wise. note if the ew dizzy has a 3 pin plug on it then its electronic ignition, make sure the coil is also electronic ignition type. you will also need the spark moduel and wirign loom from an electronic ignition car to match. plus if the car had points originally check the coil power wire from the fusebox, if its purple./white thats a resistance wire and is no good for electronic, you need to remove it and run a fresh wire to coil from an ignition live source
