1.5 radiator and changing layout/cooling

So having a look around the top fill radiator just seems to priced quite silly. I have a Mk2 1. 6 Scirocco and was thinking of changing it to that layout.   ie  header tank and new pipes etc  I have also changed the metal pipe for a slightly larger Mk2 Golf item. Any pros or cons? Oh by the way could someone post up a picture if possible of the 1.5 engine bay
