A3 Original Sketch/Renders of your Car

Hello,
I shall be attending The Annual Gathering all weekend and producing A3 sized renders of your cars.
I shall be taking orders now so i can get them done and ready for you to collect at the AGM. I'm not sure where i shall be situated but i shall let you know when i know.

A little about me.

I have studied Transport Design at Staffordshire University, while there i have had work placements at Atalanta Motors,Aston Martin and Recaro. Now i am in the process of setting up my own design house where i plan to design and build cars and motorbikes using alternative drivetrains.
While at University i started doing illustrations of peoples cars and bikes for extra pocket money. This gave me a lot of satisfaction and i have continued to do it in my spare time, now this opportunity has come up and i have been a member of this site for a few years now it seemed like it would be great to give something back.

I have a website should you wish to see some of my work, its not finished yet but feel free to view it.

Whats involved

Firstly i need a picture of your car, ideally from the preferred angle you want the render to be done at although i can pretty much do any you like ( i use the picture for reference purposes mostly)
Once received I'll sketch the car out in either pencil or pen, all depends on how i feel and what kind of end result i want.
Next ill lay down the block marker, layer that to add some depth and realism.
Followed on by pastels; this brings the image to life and really sets off the contours of the body.
Finally finished with a little bit of "Bird S**t" yes that is the industry term.

A couple of examples below, each are a different style and took various amounts of time.

Should you prefer I am also offering line drawing/sketches of your car too much like these images below

Cost

The full renders you see above will be £30 each, that is for the original and not just a print.
The line sketches will be £10 each, that is for the original too. Should you want a line drawing i will put a number of views on one page to fill it.

Ordering and Payment

I shall be taking orders for the renders on here ( via this thread, PM or email) if you order now i shall have them ready for collection at the AGM. Upon ordering please have a reference image attached and state whether you want this for collection at AGM or posted should you not be attending.

I will also be taking orders at the AGM but i may not be able to do everyone's at the show so i will need an address to post them to. Please note renders can take in excess of 4 hours.

Payment can be cash on collection if you pre-order and collect at AGM
via PayPal should you pre-order and are not able to collect. Make Payment to johnbridgedesign@hotmail.co.uk
If you order at AGM you should pay cash upon ordering (full receipt and order number shall be given)

Finally

To say a big thank you for this opportunity i shall be donating one full colour render as a prize in the raffle. Unfortunately you will not be able to collect your render at the show but i shall post it to you after its completed. Like the others just make sure you have a photo to give me, email it to me or a website link if you prefer.

Thank you all very much in advance and i look forward to seeing you,

John.

If we don't have an image of our cars to give you, can you just sit beside a car and draw it on the day..?  You know, like those artists that do caricatures in the West End?

I'd like one done and to be honest that'll be the best my car will ever look so it would be ideal to do it then and there on the spot.

Ahhh, okay just that it would be nice to have it on the day but I suppose that like you say you couldn't get that many done over a weekend and still have time to enjoy being there!

You were right the second time, We use gouache for highlights where the most extreme points of a cars body catches the sun light. That part of the render is a talent in it self as often you can go over the top. There is a fine line between reality and rubbish.

Thanks for offering to do one of your drawings for the raffle. In time vs cost you've probably donated the most expensive item!!!!

Good luck on your venture.
