So, getting there. the back panel and one sides is complete. Just a few bits of patching up on the passengers side.
New fuel pump and relay is here…..
But the pump is the cheaper one fomr gsf, and the banjo on one end is different. the one that came off was a 90* and this is a straight connector, where can i get the said connector and pipe for this pump?
Cheers, pics soon also.

The straight connector is the stock fitting, you must have had a non-standard fitting. Do you have a non-standard fuel hose to the accumulator? The standard one has a distinctive long angled neck that goes from the end of the fuel pump and sweeps backwards over the foam.

looks right to me… the top part of the pipe pictured goes over the check valve in the fuel pump (pictured right with the thread), couple of brass washers either side of the pipe and a big domed nut on the end
the lower part of the pipe pictured will go onto the fuel accumilator by the rear axle
Hope that helps

but there is a hole in the end of the threaded section of the fuel pump. This is where my confusion comes from. . . i can see how the banjo sits over and the nut would go on but its the hole in the end then nut would cover.?

DOn't worry about the hole in the end of the bolt, its a hollow bolt (to allow the fuel to flow through it). I guess its just that they made them fully hollow, rather than partially hollow, if you know what I mean.

Surely the old one had one on? You can get it from VW no problems. I think I have one kicking around somewhere too.
PS Use new washers, to ensure no fuel leaks.
