alreet, aye is anything ever finished
well im planning on a mad week of work on the car at the start of may as ill have my disso and three exams out of the way so hopefully get it all done in time for run to the sun and all types
might spend a few hours tomorrow if the weathers ok im gonna fit the wishbones, brakes and master cylinder and get everything bled up.
still gota chop down four manifold bolts and waiting on a tee-piece and 2-1 pedal adaptor before the carbs can go on (but master cylinder needs doing first as there will be no space to work otherwise!)
its just finding time between my disso and working on the car but im enjoying the tranquility of just painting bits and pieces and aqquiring goodies, all part of the fun

aye i did indeed, they are surprisingly cheap! got bare bits from there and they've always sorted me out a treat, delivering a water pump to me while i was under a car was a bonus too
prob not ford as they mainly tended to be grey recaros, was going to get them today but the guy hasnt given us his details yet and my mate is leaving now from southport to mine and could have got em on route, would have made class seating for the nurburgring on forza later
hows the bluesmobile?

pikey bricks on standby lol boooooo today has been a good and bad day,
got the passenger side brakes and wishbones off, got the new wishbone fitted and got the 270mm brakes and braided hoses hooked up on that side,
got round to doing the drivers side, got the old wishbone off and brakes off, fitted the new wishbone but went to tighten up the front wishbone nut (where the strut brace would attach but the bolt wouldnt tighten up for love nor money!
so whipped off the new wishbone to ensure that the bolt was actually screwing into the chassis (as it just bolt sits in the bush and tightens up into the chassis) but low and behold its not!
so im kinda stuck, pissed off and knackered!
i may attempt it one day this week but im not really sure of what can actually be done, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! could this be the end of the muppet?! i sincerely hope not!

got a tap and die set this morning and managed to sort the wishbone thread out woohoo!
so got the wishbone and carrier on, and tie rod and hub attached
disc and caliper attached
needed 3mm spacers to clear the calipay but job done, centre caps in the house
then decided to strip all the gear linkages
cleaned them up with de-gunk and a wire drill
painting them up
once theyve had a few coats ill re-fit it all with new bushes and the short shift kit

will check it out tomorrow, not sure if id put in the caliper bolts in that pic, i did have to shave about 2mm on each pad side to allow the caliper to fit over the discs/pads
