Cabby resto ' Pingu '

Post

Hi all, you'll know me and Nikki for having our precious 5dr in gold and my silver GTI ' Rusty ' ( thanks Daz ). We were looking on the inter web last year for a cabby auto and we found ' Pingu ' Nikki always gives the cars we have nik names based on number plates! This is what we bought, a 1.8 Clipper with 62,000 miles that needs love. Well in the last few weeks the love has started. Here's a few photos of before and during, which is ongoing this week. We've also fitted power steering.

The Bristol boys and Stu soon helped me to strip the car ( you can take the boys out of Bristol but not the Bristol out of the boys, whole car stripped in minutes, am sure all of it would have been on flea bay if I wasn't there !!!!!!! )
Car is now in the body shop for prep & spray.

New wheel arch fitted!

Hope to have the car back for the bank holiday, and then have to see if we can remember how to put it back together. We took a chance on this car and it seems really solid so it's a keeper!
Thanks to Richy, Stu & Scott for there help, we're a good team!! More info during the week, Stu & Nik.

Dave, Nikki nearly fell off her chair when you called her a lady!!! According to most in the club, nobody even knows who the bloody marshmallow man is! that's why we never won best fancy dress at the AGM. Joking of course people. :)
