15" BBS reps help needed

Hello guys, I have a slight issue, I bought some 15" BBS reps and put them on the golf to see how they would look, the rears dont seem to bad and come level with arch but the fronts stick out about 2" where the first tread pattern is, the tyres on there are, 195/50/R15, I haven't put on my plastic GTI arches on yet but, I still feel they would stick out the arch even with arches, could this be breaking the law or is it fine or what tyre size would you guys recommend, all help appreciated in advance

How wide are the wheels and what offset, as I had some genuine BBS 7x15 et 24 with 195/45 15 tyres and fitted fine within the wheel arch at front?

These say  15x8JJ

The guy I got them off had them on a mk2 sirocco, I want to put her on coil overs to so don't really want the wheels to be sitting outside the arch lol big problems

Would of been best with 7j on the front unless you have camber and stretched tyres mate. But I'm no expert.

Lol I'm no expert either but changing the tyres wouldn't make this go under the arch would it ? Lol just confused now as I wanted it on BBS and on coil overs

Hi mate changing the tyres might help but to be honest your better off looking for a lower width, 7J as has been suggested, as 2" sounds alot to be sticking out

I have Dare BBS reps (red centres and gold bolts).

175 50 15 on 7J front (ET25)
195 45 15 on 8J rear (ET15)

the front tyre tucks and tread is not exposed by the arch.

the rears tuck nicely but my rear arches are rolled.

an 8J front wouldn't tuck IMO

I are looking at 2" I think that it be less than that lol won't come out 5cm will have to put them back on And re-measure them, I know they say it's illegal to have tyre out of the arch which gets me worried it's will take pics soon and show you guys how it looks

Hello guys had more time on my hands so fitted the bbs on the golf, I didn't put my arches on, and I could see half a thread pattern outside the arch I looked from above the wing, but then I put the plastic arch on and no pattern shows, so hopefully I just scrapped it as I seen on the internet that its illegal to have the pattern showing outside the arches, so hopefully all is well, driving this as my daily and enjoying it hehehe thanks again guys for all the help much appreciated
