Hi all,
I purchased my mk1 cab (1990) about a month ago as a project.
One of the issues is that the speedo needle seems to have snapped off?!
When I drive the car the remainder of the needle doesn't move (which may be a cable / drive issue).
My question is.. Is it possible to replace the needle alone for example say if I took one out of some mk3 clocks?
Thanks for any help.

Yes the needle does just come off, if you use some thing like a table fork with a thin bit of card underneath it so it does not mark the face of the speedo you can leaver the needle off. Not sure if a mk3 golf speedo needle would fit?
The speedo should still read something so I would look into fixing that first incase the speedo is completely broken and you need to change the clocks, there is a few guides of this site.

I'm going to check out the speedo cable / drive within the next few days and I've decided that I'm just going to replace the clocks instead of messing about with the needle.
