My 83 Gti set to get full restoration

LOL, we're running out of days in July now

Small update but a nice 1!!

KW V2's arrived after a few weeks waiting, so got them fitted today.

Full Trackslag exhaust has been fitted, 3" Down pipe into 2.5" exhaust, can't wait to hear it!!

Wiring has been sorted out and she's just about ready to fire up

KW's

Trackslag exhaust looking great! Can't get a decent pic of the whole exhaust until I can get the car on a lift.

Few things to sort out before she hits the road for the first time. The brakes need sorting, I did them once but I've got a couple of leaks that need sorting, that's a job for tomorrow.
I've had the battery relocated to the boot so need to make a tray for that.
Boost pipework is still in the process of being made. After that, Im almost there!!

Unfortunately it's ground to a full stop  :(

Probably need to get the school holidays out of the way, then get things going again

Any idea when you'll be taking her for a spin? Got any photos of the battery in the boot?

Wow, looking great Andy. The Trackslag systems look and sound excellent, you wont be disappointed ;)

You'll have to stick a video up of your first fire-up

Cheers, Jamie. It's 2.5 years in the making now lol but not far away!!

Her's a few pics from today, just doing a few finishing touches at the minute.

Fitted the front and rear bumper for tha last time(hopefully)

Side stripes

Made a battery tray for the boot.

All the wiring is sorted apart from the radio but I'll leave that for the pros, I hate wires lol.

That's it for now peeps.

Cheers bud. Not sure about the end cap, I've never taken them off since I bought them so it's just the way they were :)

I think it is the right way round though looks a little odd in the pic. Perhaps it isn't located in the mounting holes properly???

I wasn't certain but thought should mention just in case. It wouldn't be the first thing upside down   (I'm bad!  :$ )

Those black bumpers do look good    daft question, but is there too much black with the bumper, end caps and trim all being black?

I know what you mean mate but I'm just going for black only, I even painted the door handles all black. TBH, I haven't seen it all together at a distance yet. I think the lips of the BBS's will break it up a bit
