I think..Seeing as you asked!…Lose the eyebrow! The mk1 is a classic, it doesn't need add ons like that! It's not a bad ass pimped out mutha..It cheapens the look for me!
Other than that it looks pretty straight and the colour looks nice! The wheels work well too! I like it! Welcome to the club!  :D

Looks really sweet, i especialy love the interior it looks very well done 8)
About 4/5 years ago all mk1s and mk2s just didn't look right without an eye brow spoiler but over the last 2 years I think thats changed, it really is a ninties period mod. if you like it then keep it, i'm lucky that I have one modded golf and another standard one to keep both sides of me happy

thanks for comments, i agree the eyebrow doesnt suit that will be my first job  the chap i bought it from was very genuine and gave me loads of history with it :)
headlining needs a good clean and has a slight oil leak other than that i'm pleased with it.

What a great find on your part…very nice.  Looks a well loved car, a lot of time and effort.  I love the colour, don't suppose you have name and paint code?

Nice car. Nice colour and interior. The eyebrow spoiler doesn't look too bad. However I seem to be in the minority here.
Guess what I've got a brand new eyebrow spoiler which I intended to fit to the front of my 82 GTI when it was nearing completion (hopefully in time for some meets next year).
Now they've got me thinking. :dontknow:

First Golf, lots of work. I've started so I'll finish!

The eyebrow spoiler is just a matter of personal taste, however I think you have to drill holes to fit it? If you ever go to a show, find an immaculate mk1 that makes your jaw drop, for me they are always absolutely stock! That's just my thing, for you it may be a modified car!
I've always said that your car is the last item of clothing you put on before you go out, so as long as you are happy with the way it reflects you…..Then it's all good!  :)

You're probably right. My intention was to keep the car as standard as possible, but I bought the eyebrow spoiler off ebay and thought it would be a good idea. Where do you have to drill the holes :dontknow: as I have just bought an originl GTI front grill for the car and won't be keen to drill holes in that.
Have also bought a Kamei   rear spoiler for the car.

First Golf, lots of work. I've started so I'll finish!

No Idea where the wholes go but a friend of mine fitted one to a 1.6GL cab I sold him 8 years ago and he told me he drilled it!  8O

Now that i have the red trimmed grill, there'll be no holes gettin drilled in that.
There may be an eyebrow grill going on ebay sometime next year

Nice car. Eyebrow or not. For me I'm into the slamming it and giving it the euro  look

See what happens to mine over the summer months
