Photos attached!
Here are the first 3 pics of my new car…
We had a scare on the way home….I suddenly lost half of my gears..luckily I was about half a mile from Germania in Newport…a quick call from them to a nearby garage, another couple of miles driving in what I approximate to be 4th gear (!) and the fault was quickly diagnosed as a loose gear linkage - phew! A couple of cable ties and a fiver changed hands and we were back on the road with all gears active!
There are a few things I need to get repaired / replaced so no doubt I'll be back asking for some advice

yes, it's blue…car is dark steely blue (Inca blue? where can I find out?) and the hood is also blue, with cream lining. I think it will need a new hood before long, as there are 3 small holes in it…how can I find out what colour it should be, so I can get it right?

Ah ha it's beacuse your in the forest lol. I thought it was a Green coloured car, Doh my bad.
Open the boot and the big cross member that runs from side to side should have a sticker on it. That will have the paint code on it if it's still there.
But yep inca blau/Inka Blau Quartette model. Also can be on an yellow tab in the engine bay on some cars LK5T paint code, only available for 1990 IIRC.
Nicceeee!!
Hoods with holes a No No. Water and moisture in and the holes tend to get bigger, plus a weak point for tea leafs..
