Introduction

Hello All,

I'm Tony & I have recently become a very proud 2nd owner of a very original VW Golf Mk1 Rivage Cabriolet (see avatar), with a cream leather interior & only 63k on the clock  :D

I thought I would join here to see if I could find out a little more about the model history etc… it is a 1992 1.8 GTi Rivage model and has had one very very careful owner from new, it has been fully serviced by the same VW dealer that sold the car from new.
It has also spent it's whole life garaged when not in use.
The only addition (apart from alarm/immobiliser/multi CD) to the car is an aircondition unit which was also fitted by the same VW dealer.

If anyone can give me or point me in the right direction for more info about the model: spec, options, dates, numbers made etc… I'd appreciate it.

I have been into classic VW's for some years & I am a committee member for the northeast vw club which is primarily air cooled vw's, although we do have several water cooled vehicles (most of our club cars are beetles & campers).
We attend a lot of VW shows around the country and am sure some members from here will go to the same ones. Bugjam, Action, Deva etc…

I also own a 1965 VW camper, which can be seen at www.thenortheastvwclub.co.uk

Kind regards

Tony

Hi Tony, welcome to the site. That's a lovely car you've got yourself, was it an Ebay purchase as I remember this car being discussed on here a short while back?

Get some pics up if you can.

Here's a link from the homepage which has some info on Cabbys and if you do a search under Rivage I'm sure you'll find more. http://www.vwgolfmk1.info/main/Buyingacab.pdf
