im new - got a 79er, a pirelli edition? n just sold a 76er.

crazy quiff bought my yellow 76er for a steal!! i dont mind though as i had what i wanted off it and i know he'll give it a good home….

my silver pirelli edition ( its a y reg but has ALL the campaign extras from the factory) was worked on by steve creswell in nottingham a couple of years ago…it was loverly! but now ive broke a piston ring (i think, crap oil) so time for a 2.0ltr bottom end as its got a reasonbly new head….


my black 79er is currently works in progress after the previous owner soddomised it!! sick lad!! still, not one bit of rust - its had, new inner and outer wings, new floor, sills all round, both rear arches inner and outer replaced and rolled slightley….got all the chrome bits, in the process of getting them on - oh did i mention it has a 1.6 gti engineering engine?!?!! complete with plaque on suspention turret!! mmm mmm

did have another 79er but it was so rotten i sold it after i found the above…

and hi to everybody! got a bit carried away then! you may have seen all the bits i took of the 79er on ebay a couple of weeks ago…zender grill and headlights, zender spoiler etc etc…




its just plain wrong…..!

hi mate and welcome big fan of the series 1 gti's myself any ideas as to what bhp your 1.6 gti is kicking?

hi mate.  i really dont know - it feels a lot punchier up to about 60mph compared to the 1.8 but i really must get it on a rolling road after i replace the fuel lines.  its got a four branch mani fitted (which has started to melt the steering gater thingy…)

sounds like a touring car - thats why im gonna change the ehaust system soon as well…

getting there…….should have seen what the previous owner did to get the square headlights to fit….mangle the metal, mangle that metal!!!

dont like the square light look .Looks tatty the bottom picture is nice…

i know, its minging isnt it!  that pic was before he 'completed' it - when i got it it had side skirts as well…it also had the bumpers and everything else painted and smoothed but it still looked soooo wrong!

got some all original nice chrome ones just waiting to b fitted…..


u should see what he did to the dash….mobile fone holders, alarm thingies etc all screwed directly in…! bastardo!!

its a dirty, tacky zorst which will soon be making way for a more tastefull single round supersprint jobbie coming out at an angle = some more pics of progress to come soon…..!
