Help with 9a Engine

Im currently popping a 9a Engine into my MK1, one thing im having some issue with is the Air Box and Metering Head system.

Is there any alternative to Using the Large Ugly Airbox, ie can i fit and induction kit or mount the metering head anywhere else.

I want a cleaner look for the engine bay but would like to keep the 16v manifold
