alright, the place that i am hoping to get it sprayed at, will spray everything from the doors down (fixing the rust) for ?300 (a bloody god job for that money) but they will do the whole car for ?500 (same again, good job)
but i want the paintwork to be better than it is now, and no amount of polishing will do it, so ?1,000 + panels will cover it 8)

I'd stick with the ones that VW fitted on it at the factory….

terrible waste of a thousand pound.
dont get a full respray man what's the point?
couldnt you just get those THREE bits treated?

i can see where you're coming from, i used to think like that..
but the problems are, the top (above the black strip) of the wing and door are orange beyond repair, the bonnet is covered in dents and stone chips, the roof has a weird blotchy paint defect and the bootlid has a load of paint missing off the top and the vertical bit where the lock is has disintegrated where someone kept shutting it with keys in
so its silly not to really.. on the main basis that i'll end up with a two t
one car.
also, its not just 3 places that are rusty, all of the arches are rusty, front and back, the bonnet is, quite frankly buggered everywhere and said problems above
justified now ?
