1983 Cabrio Roof Shrunk?

My 1983 Cabrio has a big gap between the roof and the B pillar seal. Means water is getting in and running down runners onto the seats. I'm guessing it might have shrunk, if so what are my options. Images should be attached, it's the same on both sides same place.

shrinkage is one thing as well as broken side cables.

There should be a cable running through the roof to hold it down, have a look for the ends of the cable and see if they are broken.

You can make your own cables or there are some online but you need to check which length/ones you need as the roofs did change slightly over the years.

Right thanks for the info, I'll have a look at the cables and see what I can find.

Knowing the length of the cables is paramount to getting them to fit.

There are 2 lengths depending on the frame, early frames have the cable attaching on the front bow rod, the latter has a stud that sticks out the frame.
