Solex 34 pict-5 spring setup

I've just cleaned up my Solex 34 pict-5 and fitted new gaskets. Wondering about the spring on the throttle/follower lever in the middle, is it supposed to sit like this on the idle screw housing? It sometimes slips and I've found it stuck to the larger tension spring, should it hook onto something? carb spring.jpg
