I have recently restored my â€~83 Gti cabrio ( see my ad in classifieds) and I am looking for a supplier of the pressed ally style number plates to finish it off nicely
Can anyone recommend a supplier?
I want the plates to be UK legal, and I am struggling to find out where to order some from
Cheers

However should not be fitted to a car younger than 40 years old so will need to swap them over for mot and once 40 years old will need a notification of some sort to the dvla.
On the upside also at 40 you don't have to pay Road tax. Mine is November 1980 so roll on 2020.

I read somewhere that it was allowed up to cars registered before 2001.
I shall stick to the acrylic ones that are on it then, I just like the look of the pressed ones

Once I got the German font and got pulled after 6 months but was only a comment to change them.
