New restoration
Hi all I've just started doing a restoration on a mk1 golf cabrio on a 1992 plate
This dark blue beauty has been unloved for 13 years in a neighbours garden so I took the plunge and bought it for £500
The engine I've got running ( 1.8i )
I've replaced the fuel pump and about to replace the in tank lift pump . But before I can do that I've got remove the tank and clean all the rust and rubbish out.
My biggest problem is finding a comfort control module so the windows and hood works. All the motors have been tested and work so it's just a case of finding the correct module.
I will update a the restoration progresses.
Wish me luck

£500 well spent, that's awesome.
There are a couple of cabrios breaking on eBay at the moment, might be worth sending them a message?
